Please note that your co-pay or session fee is due at the time of your appointment. I accept cash, check, and credit card payments.

Sliding Scale
I have a limited number of reduced fee appointments based on individual need.

Insurance Information

I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (Regence), MHN, and Pacific Source and will file a claim for my services with those plans. In some cases, I am able to provide courtesy billing for those who wish to use their out-of-network benefits; for others, I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Services are often covered in part or in full by your health insurance. However, I recommend that you check your coverage before our first appointment by asking your insurance carrier the following questions:

1. Do I have outpatient mental health benefits and what are they?
2. Are my mental health benefits subject to my deductible?
3. What is my deductible and has it been met?
4. Do I need a pre-authorization or an approval from either my primary care physician or the insurance carrier before starting therapy?
5. Is there a limit on the number of sessions per calendar year that my plan covers?
6. What is my co-pay amount per therapy session?
7. Is Dr. Atikune an in-network provider for my insurance plan?
8. How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
 

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your appointment, I ask that you provide me with at least 48 hours notice of this for cancellation of a session without charge.  Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance will result in a $90 cancellation fee. If you do not show for your appointment and do not inform me in advance, you will be responsible for the full session fee. Please note that I do reluctantly use debt collection services for unpaid invoices.
