I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Oregon and earned my Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2009 and my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in 2002. I have worked with adults in a variety of settings and have specialized training and experience in working with college and graduate students, people of color, veterans and LGBTQ+ identified clients.

As a therapist, my style is warm, supportive, interactive and nonjudgmental. I strive to create an atmosphere of curiosity and compassion to promote exploration and change. My primary treatment approach is contemporary psychodynamic therapy, which helps people to face and overcome difficulties by increasing insight, making unconscious motivations and emotions conscious and using the therapeutic relationship as a window to understanding how you relate to others. In addition, I integrate elements of cognitive and dialectical-behavioral therapy, which involve addressing your thought process and teaching skills, respectively. The combination of these therapies allows me to tailor my approach in order to best meet your individual needs.
